At last - our first e-newsletter!

Following on from the huge popularity of the NeighbourhoodServices.com 'Online Neighbourhood Network' free website facility, we are now very proud to be able to bring you the very first issue of our FREE email based newsletter - 'eComNet'!

As eComNet has been developed for community based organisations to distribute information about activities and events they may be involved in, we anticipate that future issues will contain articles sent in by people like YOU!

In addition, we would like to hear from you if you have any comments relating to issues affecting your local area.

Whether you are involved in running a community group, working within a management team for a larger organisation or an individual with something to say - we want to hear from you!

Given the number of you who have already subscribed to receive eComNet, information contained within our regular e-newsletter is set to be distributed to a wide variety of communities across Merseyside!

If you have not already subscribed, please send us an email indicating which email address it is that you would like us to send future issues to.

(Additionally, why not forward this message on to a friend who may be interested in receiving eComNet?)

Positive quotes ....in each issue of eComNet !

**************************************************

"People often ask me - 'What is it that I can possibly do to change things, the problems all around me are so huge?', and I say to them "You do what you can do, I will do what I can do, together we will get others to do what they can do ...and TOGETHER we will ALL make a WORLD of difference".

John Denver

Do you make things happen in your community?

Do you appreciate the value of setting goals?

Do you enjoy success?

Whether you answered 'Yes' or 'No' to the above questions, you may find interesting the series of 'Positive Quotes' that will be incorporated within each issue of eComNet.

In the past, the words of many individuals from all walks of life have been quoted - simply because the meaning behind a particular sentence or paragraph that they used provided inspiration and generated enthusiasm ...encouraging others to look at certain aspects of their life in more positive way.

Each issue of eComNet will include a number of quotes from such people. We hope that in some way, you too will be inspired and enthused to 'make a difference'!

Please let us know if you are inspired to 'make a difference....' by one of the quotes - it will make a great article in a future issue!

Aged over 50? - Great news!

Are you bored some days sitting at home?

Do you feel you’d like to do something with your spare time - but what?

Why not let the Experience Corps help!

The Experience Corps has been set up as independent, non- profit making company, funded by a grant from the Home Office.  We encourage people, just like you, who are aged over 50 and have a life time of skills and experience to donate some of their time to a voluntary organisation or charity in their local community.

A local Animator would chat to you and find out what your interests are and what you enjoy doing.  Tell you about the wide range of exciting opportunities available in your area and how your skills and experience can really make a difference.  You can donate as little or as much time as you wish.  Flexibility is the key and if you don’t feel you’re ready for a regular commitment then you could help out at a one-off event, become an Experience Corps Champion or even volunteer without even leaving your home!

A new challenge can really make you feel you have done something useful and good in your life.  You can have fun meeting new people, learn new skills and above all enjoy yourself!

If you are interest in finding out more then simply contact Maureen Hunter on 07789 430175 or ring our call centre on 0800 10 60 80 or visit our web site at http://www.experiencecorps.co.uk/

Do you love music?

Do you love performing in front of an audience?

Are you aged over 50 and proud of it?

If the answer is yes to all of these questions then we need you!!

We need musicians and singers who are interested in donating some of their time to providing a musical performance in their own community.  Hospitals, schools, days centres and hospices are crying out for your talents.

We want your music to have an impact and make a real difference to your community.

If your interested and would like to find out more then please contact Maureen Hunter on 07789 430175 or alternatively visit our website at http://www.experiencecorps.co.uk/

 Professionally designed logo's...
  NeighbourhoodServices.com is happy to announce a brand new service for all voluntary and private sector organisations;

Professional Logo Design At A Fraction Of The Cost!

For a limited period only,  just £25 is all that is needed to enable your organisation to have a professionally designed logo like the sample shown here.

Using your preferred colour scheme, we will design your new logo, using a variety of backgrounds, text and colours etc, and if you choose to submit an article within eComNet, we will also include your logo and make it a link to your free website!

No need to spend hundreds of pounds ( - in some cases thousands of pounds) on logo design fee's!

To obtain a logo such as this would normally be outside the scope of many community groups and small businesses etc., due to the high cost's involved ...but the NeighbourhoodServices.com Professional Logo Design Service offers your organisation the opportunity to present an image which competes with even the largest organisations - at a fraction of the cost!

Just like our very popular free website facility our innovative, low cost Professional Logo Design Service provides opportunities that were previously out of the financial reach of most voluntary based community groups  ...until now!
