Hello and welcome to MyFolio!

My name is Joe Somerfield.

In MyFolio I will be telling you lots about myself, and over the years MyFolio will grow and grow - just like me - because as time goes by my mum will keep putting in more and more pictures and other information about me, so even if you're my Great Uncle who lives in Australia you can still see me growing up !

My friends call me 'Smiler' because I am always smiling! I am 9 years old, and I live in Gt. Britain.

Here's a picture of me and my mum just after I was born, in 1993!

I love to read books, and my favourite book is called 'The School Adventures of Simon Bloomer', which is all about a very mischievous little boy and the stuff he and his friends get up to at school. Its a very funny book - and sometimes I think I am a lot like Simon!

I also enjoy going fishing with my dad ...I think its really nice to sit and daydream looking out to sea.

We normally go to a little village in Scotland which looks out over the North sea. It is really peaceful there, too. But my favourite photograph of me was taken by my dad when we were on holiday in America. We were fishing one day and my dad gave us a stick to hold and then stood on the river bank and took this picture of me and my cousin Jade with the sun setting - I think its a lovely picture!!

My best friend is Billy Davids. My friends and I call him 'Spikey' because of his short spikey haircut!! It is Billy's birthday soon, and my mum says his parents are going to surprise him with his own MyFolio!  When they do, my mum says she will put an Internet link directly to his MyFolio from this page!

The best holiday I ever had was when all of my aunties and uncles went away to Wales camping. Every night we would all get together and have a barbeque. Everyone was telling jokes or chasing me and my cousins around ...it was great fun. This picture shows us all sitting eating our hamburgers!

I think what I liked about that holiday was having all of my cousins with me to play with!!

When I was young, my mum says I had her and my dad worn out! Mum says she took this picture to prove to me when I was older just how much work they put in to looking after me when I was little. This picture shows my dad and me asleep - probably after I had been tormenting him for hours (or kept him up all night!).

My dad has also filled in the online form to create a MyFolio for each of my grandparents. Granddad Joe is almost 75 years old, and Grandma Jean is 73 this year - and I think they are the best grandparents in the whole world. My dad says a MyFolio would be a lovely surprise for them, too! So when they are completed my mum will put some links to them from here!!

My favourite sport is football, and my favourite team is Manchester United - the best team in the world!!!

My school is only at the bottom of the road, and I can see the playground from my bedroom window! When I go to school, my favourite teacher is Miss Fairbanks, who teaches English. English is my favourite subject, too!

My favourite PC game is Tomb Raiders, and when my friends play against me I always get the highest score!

I think the old Mickey Mouse cartoons are the funniest, and my favourite TV programme is Blue Peter.

I am learning to play the piano at school, and my teacher says I can be really good if I keep practising.

My friend Jenny has a dog called Cassie and if you click on her name, you will see that she has her very own PetFolio - so go over there and meet her!

I have lots of cousins, and I am sure that once they see MyFolio  they will all want to have their own MyFolio's too!

Please don't forget that my mum is going to pick out some more photo's of me to put on MyFolio soon, and she said that she is also going to put more and more photo's on MyFolio over the coming years, so if you call back you will see me grow up on the Internet!
