My Dad's official name was High Dunscott-Acer (he came from Exmouth) and my Mum's name was Bicknor Lass - (Molly to her friend's and she came from Taunton in Somerset)

My paternal Grand-dad was a Field Trials Champion and his name was ‘Pockle-a-Remus’ and my maternal Grand-dad was called ‘Ebony Applejack’

My Great-Grand Parents were actually Yellow Labradors - so was my maternal  Grand-Parents!

Certificates etc that we have won……

  • Green Rosette – Reserved - won at a Fun Dog Show when I was 6 months old for the ‘Waggiest Tail’ and the ‘Most Appealing Look’. (- and I won a bag of food which I donated to the Kennels later)

  • Red Rosette and a Certificate with Distinction won by Me and Sylvia for Display Dog Standard, where agility, obedience and tricks are judged. ie, collecting the post, drop and retrieve etc.

  • Yellow Rosette and Certificate - In 1998 I won 3rd position at another Fun Dog Show.

  • Certificates for partaking in the Omega National Dog Training Scheme - (A Trained Dog is a Happy Dog they say!)

  • Sylvia and Me also have many other Certificates for Basic Training ie. sit, stand, stay on command etc.

  • I have also received maximum training equal to Police Dog standards by my friend Brian although a trained dog will only react to his (or her) handler or owner.

  • I have also taken part in Assault Course Training. (now that was fun!)

I always receive cards from my ‘Doggie Auntie’  - Josie who gives a yearly account of events about the rest of my family - (my litter!) They are always glad to hear that I am doing well and that I am ok. Also, I never forget to send a card to one of my favourite people - Liz (my breeder!)

Did you know I can also dance ?

At the pre-trials the music is chosen, and we dogs twist between our owners ankles as they walk. Unfortunately my dancing career was curtailed prematurely as my owners legs were too short and I was getting too tall !! (maybe we could find a saddle....?)

Hello everyone - its Ocar here! Its late December 2002 and Sylvia and Stuart have brought me for my weekly dip - love it ! -  and I have the photo's to prove it!!

Don't you just love WINTER dip's!

(click on a pic!!)

Not too sure if I feel like it today - it's freezing out side !

OK - slowly does it !
Hey! It's not so bad when you get in !!

There's no stopping me now !

Now I've saved this bone, s'pose it'll be thrown back in!!

Told you !!

(it's getting steamy in here isn't it !!)

  It's me ! Swimming under water - that's why it's blurred!!
Nearly done, just one more bone to go !!
Well. that's my job done for another week !!

All Labrador’s are prone to a condition called ‘Hip Displysia’ and vet’s always check for this. My swimming helps to keep me in tip, top condition.

............Note how relaxed I am in the last picture - there's nothing like a swim on cold December morning !!

BrrrrrWOOOF !!

Of course - I am also a very good guard dog !!
