An overview of NeighbourhoodServices.com:

A  local neighbourhood is a very complex entity with a wide range of social, physical and economic needs.

Individual residents, community groups, self employed individuals, small businesses, large companies and public service providers all have a stake in, and would benefit from, a confident,  thriving, successful local community.

For this to occur - with sustainability - one single element must be evident and used across all sectors ...effective communication.

Appropriate levels of communication create the promise of true partnership, whether it is between residents living next door to each other; local community groups and public service providers; or local businesses and their customers...

All are based within a given neighbourhood, and effective communication between all of the above must surely help nurture an improved social environment and serve to enhance the local economy.

The NeighbourhoodServices.com local 'Online Communications Strategy'.

NeighbourhoodServices.com has developed an Online Communications Strategy: The Online Neighbourhood Network which is built around our following core activities of education, employment, work-based training, community empowerment and distribution of information.

One of the principal aims of the Online Neighbourhood Network is to continue to create an increasingly effective environment for;

  • ..fast track access to quality website facilities for all community based groups.

  • ..local employment through fulfilling a local need (re - introduction of work based training to NVQ standards in a variety of topics, including Internet-based skills and linkages with associated complementary training programmes).

  • ..improved access to  information for whole communities.

  • ..online interaction within (and between) whole communities.

  • ..access to a network of complementary sources of information.

  • ..support for local businesses, larger voluntary organisations and service providers.

  • ..free access to (and participation within) 'e-ComNet' - our e-mail based newsletter which contains articles, advice, information, comments and observations submitted by members and representatives of the NeighbourhoodServices.com Online Neighbourhood Network (more info here...)
